heys..its been some time since i posted a decent post. Yesterday, Sunday, 15 june2008 at exactly 1.45pm, i had my FIRST violin lesson. It was at the school called sonare music school at compass point. i went into the room and i saw my violiv teacher. He was a male. Quite old seh. about 50 plus. he had curly hair. He asked me a few qns, whether i got learn piano or not..etc etc. and then he thought that i was sec four. When i told him i was sec one only, he was very surprised. Please luh. its quite that obvious that i am sec one.I dont have that very mature face yet. Anyway, he told me to go out to get this book called all for strings book one. Then he taught me all the open strings in the violin and how to hold the violin. i just realised that the violin strings are the opposite of the double bass strings. violin string is G,D,A,E. double bass is E,A,D,G. then he teach me how to hold the bow, and then we played some songs that are made up of only open strings. You also can they they are not songs. Only excercises. i cant find the meloday in the "songs". So later he taught me how to play E and F# on the D string. That was quite fun. At least not as boring as only playing the open strings. Then, lesson ended. its obly 1/2 an hour so the lesson is very short. He asked me to go and practise how to play mary had a little lamp. and then it was bye bye time. my papa fetched me home and we ate at our home kopitiam. i shall stop posting here cos i need to bathe and my tv show going to start already. so byebye. and oh, bye the way, the teacher's name is called mr koh. i will post soon, i think. bye bye=D
